Rates & Conditions

Thank you for considering me for your interpreting needs. The rates below reflect industry standards.

Rates:

$130 initial fee (covers up to two hours of service)
$60/hour for assignments longer than two hours
Assignments of less than three hours including the noon hour will be charged a flat rate of $180.

Discounts or differential rates for platform, performance, legal, scientific, or otherwise more demanding assignments will be negotiated at the time a request is made. A full day of work will not be billed as a series of shorter assignments.

Coverage:

Assignments longer than two hours in duration generally require two interpreters. I am happy to provide you with referrals at no charge.

Reimbursable Costs:

I do not bill for travel expenses inside the Washington, DC & Baltimore metropolitan areas. Expenses outside the area for travel and lodging are reimbursable at cost.

Short Notice Fee:

A $40.00 fee may be added to requests made with less than three business days' notice.

Cancellations and No Shows:

Cancellations made less than two business days in advance of the beginning of the assignment are considered untimely and will be billed. Multi-day assignments will only be billed within the two-day billable cancellation period. Cancellations due to inclement weather are billed unless otherwise negotiated. No shows are billed without exception.

Payment:

Payment is due within 30 days of invoice receipt. Late payments will be assessed a 4% fee for each additional 15 day period past the due date. Major credit cards accepted.
